My answer: Because I didn't want to have to re-enter all my AF micro-adjustments! (It's on the way to my daughter's house in Philadelphia.) The guy at the counter asked me why I hadn't just sent it back to B&H and demanded a replacement. So I dropped it off at Canon's Jamesburg shop to be cleaned. One of my 7Ds arrived with some gunk in the viewfinder, which I finally noticed after I'd had it for a few days. Thank you all again for your time and responses, everyone. Just waned to let you all know I fixed it and this was my problem in case anyone else ran into this. Although, I did a reset and have to change all my settings back to how I had them before, and recalibrate all my Micro Adjustments for EACH of my lenses (WITH and WITHOUT both my 1.4x and 2x Extenders) using my FoCal program on my laptop. Once I disabled it, it works perfect now. But as I had said before for some reason, after the update, some of my custom functions were changed and it was just my "Mirror Lock" that was enabled.

Thank you guys for your responses, but I fixed the problem.
